Another pioneering program of TAP is the School based Ecological Solid Waste Management Program (SESWMP) which started in 2007. A total of 110 private and public schools (elementary and high school) in the City of Santa Rosa were part of this program. The objectives of SESWMP is to teach the Waste Management Standards of 3R’s (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle). Every school is encouraged to implement and sustain the program. As of now TAP constantly monitors each school on a regular basis in order to check the status and find better ways to improve the system.
Partner organizations include the Dept. of Environment and Natural Resources – Environment Mang’t Bureau, Dept of Education of Santa Rosa, City –Enro Santa Rosa and TAPNOTCH scholars from Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Sta Rosa.
